Onze naam gaat terug op Frederik de Grote, die een grote rol speelde bij de aardappelteelt in Duitsland en een bijzondere liefde had voor Windspiel-honden – evenals voor de regio waar onze ingrediënten vandaan komen: de Vulkaaneifel. Deze combinatie van traditie, nuchterheid en verfijnde smaak vormt tot op heden de basis van ons werk.
We combineren traditioneel distilleervakmanschap met moderne precisie en werken met transparantie, kleine batches en zorgvuldig geselecteerde grondstoffen. Voor ons telt elk detail – van de herkomst van de ingrediënten tot de perfectie in het glas.
A unique feature of our products is the base alcohol we produce from potatoes matured in volcanic soil of the Eifel. The mineral-rich earth gives them an exceptional structure which, after distillation, results in remarkable purity and smoothness.
