Description
Description
Dolin Vermouth de Chambéry Blanc 16% Vol. 0.75 l is a fine, artisanally produced white vermouth from France, regarded as a classic amongst vermouths thanks to its elegant aroma and delicate balance. Produced in the Savoy region of the Alps, specifically in Chambéry, it is the only vermouth with the protected designation of origin AOC Vermouth de Chambéry. The traditional Dolin house, founded in 1821, embodies authentic French aperitif culture and continues to this day to preserve the original recipe, which relies on natural ingredients and artisanal precision.
Dolin Vermouth Blanc is made exclusively from Ugni Blanc grapes, which serve as the base wine. It is then flavoured with 33 different plants, herbs and spices from the Alpine pastures above Chambéry. This unique blend gives it its unmistakable character, characterised by floral aromas, a subtle sweetness and delicate spiciness. After a short period of ageing in wooden casks, the vermouth develops its characteristic harmony and elegant balance – a piece of French craftsmanship in a glass.
Tasting Note
Dolin Vermouth de Chambéry Blanc appears clear in the glass, with a delicate, pale sheen. On the nose, fragrant aromas of white blossoms, elderflower, almonds, peach and light fruits unfold, underpinned by subtle herbal and spicy notes. On the palate, there is a perfect interplay of sweetness and spice: the fruitiness of elderflower and stone fruits meets the delicate bitterness and herbal spice of wormwood, complemented by subtle hints of cinnamon, vanilla and almonds. The texture is smooth, the finish fragrant, elegant and harmonious, with a lingering, mild herbal note.
Residual sugar content: 130 g/l
Dolin Vermouth Blanc is a versatile vermouth that is highly regarded in fine bars and kitchens worldwide. Thanks to its harmonious character, it is ideal for refining classic cocktails such as the Vesper, Martini Blanc or El Presidente, elevating them to a new level. It also reveals its aromatic depth perfectly when served neat over ice with a twist of lemon or with soda as a light aperitif. Culinary, it pairs perfectly with goat’s cheese, seafood, fish carpaccio, light Mediterranean dishes or desserts featuring fresh fruit.
