The renowned Irish distillery Teeling has launched a Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey for the first time in over 50 years, marking a significant milestone in the history of Irish whiskey. This whisky is produced using a carefully selected blend of 50 per cent unmalted and 50 per cent malted barley, which gives it a unique balance and depth.

Following a triple distillation – traditional for Irish whisky – the whisky is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks, wine casks and virgin oak casks. This variety of cask types allows the whisky to develop a complex and multi-layered flavour profile. The whisky was bottled in October 2022.

With this bottling, Teeling builds on the rich tradition of Irish single pot still whisky whilst setting new standards in modern whisky production.

Tasting Note

Colour: Pale gold.

Nose: Hibiscus blossoms, honey, grapes, grapefruit, lemons.

Palate: Lychee, grapes, white pepper, biscuits.

Finish: Long-lasting, dry, with notes of toasted almonds.
