Dictador hails from Cartagena de Indias in Colombia, where the tropical climate exerts a significant influence on the maturation of the rums. Tasting Note

Colour: Dark amber to mahogany.

Nose: Complex and mature, with dark fruits, caramel and vanilla, accompanied by spicy oak, cocoa and subtle toasty notes.

Palate: Full-bodied and smooth with ripe fruit, caramel and dark chocolate, complemented by spicy oak notes and a harmonious sweetness.

Finish: Long-lasting and warm with dark fruit, cocoa and spicy oak notes.

Due to its rare vintage character, the Dictador Best of 1979 APASIONADO is best enjoyed neat at room temperature in a nosing or rum glass. Suitable accompaniments include dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, roasted nuts or long-matured hard cheeses, which allow an aged, cask-influenced rum to shine. This bottling also pairs well with desserts featuring dark chocolate, caramel or dried fruit.
