Tasting Note

Colour: Dark amber to mahogany.

Nose: Intense and complex with ripe fruit, caramel and vanilla, accompanied by coffee, cocoa and spicy oak notes.

Palate: Full-bodied and multi-layered with dark fruit, caramel, vanilla and subtle toasted notes, complemented by spicy woody undertones.

Finish: Long-lasting, warm and complex with sweet, spicy cask notes and an elegant aftertaste.

Due to its vintage and collector’s status, the Dictador Best of 1982 Limited Release should ideally be served neat at room temperature in a nosing or rum glass. Allowing it to rest in the glass for a few minutes gives this long-aged bottling sufficient time to unfold. Suitable accompaniments include dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, roasted nuts or mature hard cheese, without overpowering the rum’s flavour.
