Description

The Lagavulin The Distillers Edition Double Matured Islay Single Malt Whisky 2023 43% Vol. 0.7 l represents the consummate craftsmanship of the famous distillery from the Isle of Islay. This fine single malt whisky first matured in American and European oak refill casks before undergoing a second maturation in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and in charred American oak casks with heavily toasted new AO ends. This elaborate double cask maturation creates a complex, multi-layered character that perfectly combines the typical Islay aroma of peat smoke with the seductive sweetness of sherry.

This Distillers Edition presents itself as a deep and intense whisky that bears the unmistakable signature of Lagavulin. The combination of smoky, spicy and sweet nuances demonstrates the masterful cask selection and careful maturation for which Lagavulin is renowned worldwide. The result is a luxurious single malt with great aromatic depth that impressively embodies the balance between strength, warmth and elegance.
