Paddy Irish Whiskey is the basis of Irish Coffee, which is enjoyed all over the world, so there is no need to say anything more about the fame and popularity of this Irish whiskey recipe.
The paddy gets its mild taste from drying the malted barley in closed ovens instead of over an open fire.
This makes the mash purer and the taste is free of smoky elements.
After distillation three times, the paddy matures in old bourbon and rum barrels stacked one on top of the other. In dark, fragrant warehouses, these barrels quietly and calmly produce a whiskey of special quality.
Tasting notes:
Colour: Light gold.
Nose: fresh, aromatic, complex, nutty, notes of malt, spices, hints of honey, vanilla.
Taste: Mild, smooth, notes of malt, sweet oil, spices, hints of honey, vanilla, toasted oak.
Finish: Long lasting, soft, sweet, woody.
Sooner or later many Irish coffee connoisseurs indulge in the luxury of opening themselves up to the paddy in all its purity and from now on drink it pure, with ice, water or soda.
