EGGNOG CAKE - this eggnog recipe always works

Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 5 eggs
- 250 g icing sugar
- 2 sachets vanilla sugar
- 200 ml oil
- 250 ml advocaat
- 250 g flour
1 sachet baking powder
- For the glaze
- 100 ml advocaat
- 180 g icing sugar
Preparation:
Beat the eggs, icing sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl until creamy. Then mix the oil with the advocaat and gently fold the liquid into the mixture. Mix the flour and baking powder and sift them over the mixture. Now carefully mix everything into a batter, pour it into a greased and floured ring mold, and bake it in a preheated oven at 180° top/bottom heat for 45-50 minutes. Let it cool briefly in the mold and then turn it out onto a wire rack. Stir the glaze ingredients until smooth and spread half of it over the still warm cake. Let it dry briefly, then spread the remaining glaze as a second layer on the cake.
Our tips:
Give your still-wet glaze on this advocaat recipe the finishing touch by sprinkling sugar sprinkles or almond brittle over it. You can find more decorative items for refining your advocaat creations in our online shop. By the way, you can also freeze this advocaat cake well, and after thawing, it tastes like it's fresh.
EGGNOG MOUSSE - an advocaat recipe that's also a feast for the eyes

Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 5 sheets of gelatin
- Pulp of 1 vanilla pod (alternatively vanilla extract or vanilla paste)
- 3 eggs (size M)
- 180 g sugar
- 250 g whipping cream
- 100 ml advocaat
- 300 g strawberries
- 25 g roasted salted pistachios in shell
Preparation:
Soak the gelatin according to the instructions. Then cut the vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the pulp, and beat it creamy with the eggs and 60g sugar using a hand mixer. Gradually add the advocaat.
After soaking, squeeze out the gelatin, dissolve it over low heat, and mix it with 6 tablespoons of the cream. Now add the remaining cream spoonful by spoonful. Then whip the cream until stiff and fold it into the mixture when it begins to set. Fill the finished mousse into four dessert glasses, leaving some space in the glass. The mousse must chill for at least four hours.
For the topping, wash the strawberries, dry them, and quarter them. Then lightly caramelize 120g sugar in a pan and toss the strawberries in it.
Finally, shell the pistachios and chop the kernels. Distribute the strawberries over the mousse and sprinkle with the chopped pistachios. Best served immediately while the mousse is cold.
Our tips:
For this eggnog recipe, you should buy a high-proof eggnog, such as our Verpoorten Original.
You can also substitute other fruits for the strawberries. Caramelized apple, pear, or mango slices are just as delicious.
EGGNOG TIRAMISU - one of the most popular recipes with advocaat

- 60 g sugar
- 500 g mascarpone
- 10 tbsp advocaat
- 200 ml cream
- 1 packet ladyfingers
- ¼ liter espresso
- 2 cl amaretto

Preparation:
First, mix the mascarpone with the sugar and then add the advocaat. Then whip the cream and fold it into the mixture.

The advocaat tiramisu needs to chill in the refrigerator for a while. Just before serving, dust it with cocoa powder.
Our tips:
It's best to prepare the advocaat tiramisu the evening before and let it chill in the refrigerator overnight.
You can buy both Amaretto and advocaat from us, both in our online shop and in our shop in Nöstl .
BLACK BREAD TARTS WITH ADVOCAAT - a savory advocaat recipe

Ingredients:
- 2 to 3 packages of black bread
- 250 g soft butter
- 3 tbsp mustard
- 3 tbsp advocaat
- 1 red onion
- 200 g breakfast bacon
- Two packages of cream cheese
- 200 g sour cream
- 1 bell pepper
- Salt, pepper
Preparation:
First, fry the bacon in a pan until crispy. Then, cut the onion into fine cubes and mix it with the soft butter, advocaat, mustard, pepper, and salt until a creamy consistency is achieved. Mix cream cheese and sour cream in a separate bowl.
Now, line a springform pan with the black bread and spread the advocaat cream over it. Distribute the cooled bacon on top and press it down. Add a second layer of black bread. Spread one-third of the cream cheese mixture over this. Now add a third layer of bread and spread the remaining cream cheese mixture over it. Everything must now chill for a while.
Before serving, cut the bell pepper into small cubes and sprinkle it over your black bread tart.
Our tips:
You can prepare these advocaat tarts a day in advance. They will then be perfectly infused.
Since the ingredients are very savory, you should buy a high-proof advocaat. This will bring out the advocaat flavor better.
STRAWBERRY-ADVOCAAT JAM - cooking with advocaat differently

Ingredients:
- 750 g fresh strawberries
- 125 ml advocaat
- 500 g gelling sugar 3:1 or 2:1
- Seeds from one vanilla pod
Preparation:
First, wash and chop the strawberries. Then, slice the vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds, and mix them with the strawberries and sugar. Let the mixture sit for at least 3 hours.
Afterward, bring everything to a vigorous boil in a tall pot for 5 minutes. Stir gently to keep the fruit intact. Finally, quickly stir in the advocaat and immediately pour the mixture into hot rinsed jars. Seal them quickly and place them upside down on a cloth or in the sink. Let the jars cool down this way.
Our tips:
If you purée the fruit beforehand, the advocaat jam will be more like a fruit spread or jelly.
You can also replace 250 g of strawberries with 300 g of red currant pulp. This will give the jam an even more refined taste.
When cooking with advocaat, the alcohol evaporates the longer it is exposed to heat. This way, you can control the alcohol content of your jam yourself.
Of course, you can also use other fruits instead of strawberries. Such an advocaat jam also makes a great gift or souvenir. Let our gift ideas inspire you for even more choices.
CRÊPES WITH ADVOCAAT AND CARAMELIZED APPLES - this advocaat recipe is a highlight

Ingredients for 4 people:
For the dough:
- 150 g wheat flour or light spelt flour
- 150 ml milk
- 100 ml advocaat
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 pinch of salt
- Oil for frying
For the apples:
- 2 apples
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon (if you like cinnamon)
Preparation:
First, mix all the dough ingredients, except for the oil. Brush a coated pan with oil and bake the crêpes one by one, 2 minutes on each side over medium heat. Keep the finished crêpes warm in the oven for a short time.
Wash the apples and cut them into thin wedges. Then heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan and stir in the honey until everything is lightly caramelized. Now add the apple wedges and cook them briefly, turning them several times. If you like cinnamon, add it now. If not, just leave it out.
You can distribute the caramelized apples on the crêpes and roll them up decoratively, for example.
Our tips:
1. You can also place scoops of vanilla ice cream on the crêpes and apple mixture and drizzle them with more advocaat. The combination of warm and cold is delicious.
2. You should choose sour apples, as the contrast to the sweet caramel will be even more pronounced. Here, too, you can, of course, replace the apples with other fruits, e.g., strawberries or other berries.
3. A small sprig of mint as a decoration completes this advocaat recipe visually.

ADVOCAAT CREAM - the simplest advocaat recipe ever
Ingredients:
- 300 ml cold cream
- Icing sugar to taste
- 4 tbsp advocaat
- 2 packets cream stiffener
Preparation:
To whip cream, you should use an ice-cold container, preferably made of metal. In it, whip the cream with a hand mixer on medium speed for 1 minute until creamy. Only then gradually add icing sugar, cream stiffener, and advocaat. Whip for at most another 2-3 minutes, but not too long, otherwise the cream will turn into butter.
You can use the advocaat cream as a cake filling or put it in a piping bag and decorate a store-bought cake with it.
