The iconic bottle, modelled on a historic diving sphere (‘bathysphere’), evokes the French deep-sea expeditions of the 19th century. The maritime design and brass-coloured embossing give Spytail a high degree of recognisability and collector’s appeal.

Spytail focuses on traditional craftsmanship and small batches. The Black Ginger Spiced Rum is macerated with real ginger and spices, whilst the Cognac Barrels Spirit Drink is aged in used cognac casks. This ageing process brings complexity, depth and natural aromas to every bottle.

Spytail is committed to transparent sourcing, responsible procurement of raw materials and efficient processes. The cask finishing takes place regionally in France, with short transport distances and minimal environmental impact.

Spytail has its roots in the Caribbean – more specifically in Trinidad and Guyana. The distillates are then further processed and refined in the Cognac region of France. It is this combination of tropical origins and European maturation that makes Spytail so special.
