Spitz Obstler 35% ABV 1 l is a classic fruit brandy from Austria, characterised by its high quality and authentic fruit flavours. The S. Spitz company, founded in Linz in 1857 by Salomon Spitz, has built up an excellent reputation over the years. In 1935, production was relocated to Attnang-Puchheim, and the range has been steadily expanded over time. After the Second World War, the company changed ownership but continued to expand its distribution network, bringing its spirits and fruit juices to markets throughout Austria. In 2007, the company proudly celebrated its 150th anniversary.

Spitz Obstler is made from the finest local fruit and, with an alcohol content of 35% vol., offers a fruity and mild tasting experience. This Obstler is ideal as a digestif or in various mixed drinks and cocktails. Its high quality and careful production make this Obstler a popular choice amongst connoisseurs and enthusiasts.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear, with a slight sheen.

Nose: Intensely fruity, with apple aromas, delicate pear notes and a hint of plum.

Palate: Mild, well-balanced, full-bodied with a harmonious blend of apple, pear and apricot.

Finish: Smooth, long-lasting, fruity and slightly sweet.

Spitz Obstler is ideal with mature cheeses, grilled meat or a cheese platter. It is superb served as an Obstler Spritz with soda water and a slice of lemon. For cocktails, it makes an excellent base for a fruity ‘Obstler Fizz’ with lemon and a splash of mineral water. A wonderful digestif after a meal or for social gatherings.
