Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength is a powerful Highland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at cask strength with a distinctive 60 per cent alcohol by volume. Glenfarclas is one of the pioneers of this bottling style: as early as 1968, the Glenfarclas 105 was released as one of the first commercially available cask-strength single malts. Tasting Note

Colour: Dark gold with deep amber highlights.

Nose: Complex and intense, with ripe apples and pears, sweet toffee, rich oak and spicy notes.

Palate: Powerful, dry and full-bodied, with ripe fruit, malty sweetness, oak and an increasingly peppery spice.

Finish: Long-lasting and warming, with spicy oak, ripe fruit and a powerful, dry structure.

The Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength can be enjoyed neat at around 18–20 °C; given its 60% alcohol content, gradually adding a few drops of still water is particularly recommended. This allows the intensity to be adjusted to suit individual taste, whilst allowing further fruit and spice nuances to emerge. It pairs well with dark chocolate, roasted nuts, mature hard cheese or desserts featuring dried fruit.
