Ron Matusalem 7 Solera Blender Rum is a versatile rum from the Dominican Republic, with an alcohol content of 40 per cent, available in a 0.7-litre bottle. The Matusalem brand has a long history, dating back to 1872 in Santiago de Cuba. These Cuban roots continue to shape the brand’s style to this day, whilst production now takes place in the Dominican Republic. Matusalem 7 is made from sugar cane molasses, which is distilled using the column still method. A key role is then played by the Solera process, characteristic of Matusalem, in which rums of varying ages are blended together. This results in a consistent, harmonious style that combines traditional Cuban-influenced rum-making with modern production methods.


The Matusalem 7 Solera Blender is designed as an approachable Solera rum, distinguished in particular by its versatility. Ageing in oak casks and the blending of different rum components ensure a balanced character with pleasant oak notes. With its balance of maturity, structure and approachability, this Dominican rum with Cuban roots is ideal for enjoying neat, as well as being excellent for classic rum cocktails and long drinks.
