The English Whisky Co. It is produced at St George’s Distillery in Norfolk, England’s first whisky distillery in over 100 years. The combination of traditional craftsmanship, regional grain and the purest spring water forms the basis for a whisky that captivates with its smoky character and harmonious depth.


The English Smokey is matured in carefully selected ex-bourbon casks, which lend it its sweet, spicy aromas and a pleasant roundness on the palate. The subtle, controlled peating creates a complex flavour profile that perfectly blends smoky, peppery and fruity Elements. Bottled with its natural colour and unchill-filtered, this whisky retains its authentic, pure character – a delight for lovers of Islay-inspired malts.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold with warm, amber-coloured highlights.

Nose: Vanilla, aniseed and gingerbread with a savoury note of white pepper, peat and a hint of citrus zest.

Palate: Light peat develops into a more robust smokiness, accompanied by vanilla, aniseed, ginger, citrus and subtle tropical notes.

Finish: Spicy, smoky and long-lasting, with a warm, smouldering note in the finish.

The English Smokey Single Malt Whisky reveals its character best when enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to bring out the subtle smoky notes and spicy facets. It pairs superbly with grilled meat, smoked fish or strong cheeses, and is equally suited as an accompaniment to dark chocolate or a mild cigar.
