This limited edition comes from the Smokehead range, launched in 2006 by the independent whisky company Ian Macleod Distillers, and is aimed at lovers of intense Islay whiskies. As is typical for Smokehead, the exact origin of the distillery used remains a well-kept secret. For the SHERRY BOMB, the whisky is matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks, allowing the powerful peaty smoke to blend with intense sherry aromas. The whisky is bottled without chill filtration, ensuring that its natural texture and full spectrum of flavours are preserved. The result is an expressive Islay single malt with exceptional depth and a distinctive interplay of smoke, fruit and spice.
