Cihuatán 12 Solera Reserva Especial Rum 40% ABV 0.7l in a gift box online kaufen

Cihuatán 12 Solera Reserva Especial Rum is an exquisite premium rum from El Salvador, matured with the utmost care using the Solera method. With an alcohol content of 40 % vol. in a 0.7-litre bottle, presented in an elegant gift box (GB), this rum is a true meisterwerk of Central American distilling.

Produced by Licorera Cihuatán, El Salvador’s first and only rum distillery, this rum embodies the country’s rich culture and history. The name Cihuatán is derived from an ancient Mayan legend in which a sleeping female spirit watches over the valley and brings prosperity. The 12-year-old Solera blend develops a wonderful depth through its long ageing in ex-bourbon casks, in which sweet, spicy and woody notes harmonise perfectly.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with amber highlights.

Nose: Enticing aromas of caramel, vanilla, honey, toasted almonds and dried fruit.

Palate: Full-bodied and smooth with notes of dark chocolate, oak, nutmeg and sweet toffee. A subtle spiciness and light citrus notes round off the flavour profile.

Finish: Long-lasting, smooth and slightly spicy with hints of vanilla, wood and toasted nuts.

The Cihuatán 12 Solera Reserva Especial is an ideal rum to enjoy neat, to fully savour its complex aromas. It can also be served with a dash of water or on the rocks to discover further flavour nuances. Culinary pairings include dark chocolate, caramelised nuts or matured cheese. It also adds a sophisticated touch to elegant cocktails such as a Rum Old Fashioned or a rum Manhattan. An outstanding Solera rum that captures the soul of El Salvador in every bottle!
