Select Aperitivo is a traditional Italian aperitif that originated in Venice in 1920. Created by the Pilla distillery, Select quickly became the ingredient of choice for the original Venetian Spritz – and is still regarded today as the most authentic choice for this globally popular aperitif variant. With its finely balanced interplay of bitter and sweet, its characteristic reddish hue and floral herbal notes, Select epitomises classic Italian aperitif culture with Venetian elegance.

Select is made from 30 carefully selected botanicals, including juniper berries and rhubarb root, which give it its pleasantly bitter yet elegant flavour. Its alcohol content of 17.5 % vol. makes it pleasantly light and versatile – whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks or as a base for stylish aperitif creations.

Tasting Note

Colour: Intense ruby red.

Nose: Fresh and aromatic with floral and herbaceous notes, orange zest, juniper and a hint of rhubarb.

Palate: Well-balanced between sweet and bitter, with flavours of citrus fruits, herbs, spices and subtle savoury notes.

Finish: Pleasantly bitter, slightly dry and refreshing with a long, aromatic finish.
