La Escondida Mezcal Artesanal Blanco 40% vol. 0.7 l + GB is an exquisite mezcal whose name means ‘the hidden woman’, based on a legend dating from 1543. According to the legend, a Spanish princess was taken captive but managed to escape and was never found again. However, local fishermen claimed to have spotted her as a mermaid in the Pacific Ocean. This mystical background lends the mezcal a special significance and makes it a true delight.

La Escondida Mezcal is made from the Espadín agave, one of the best-known varieties of agave used in mezcal production. The mezcal is traditionally distilled in copper stills, which gives it its clear, unadulterated agave note and the intense smoky flavour typical of mezcal. With an alcohol content of 40% vol., this mezcal offers an intense and complex flavour experience that comes into its own both neat and in cocktails.
