Asbach GmbH, a renowned wine distillery in Rüdesheim am Rhein, uses only selected wines for its sophisticated ‘Rauh’ and ‘Feinbrand’ distillation processes. The distillates are first matured in Limousin oak casks and then in particularly breathable German oak casks. These casks provide the fine spirits with optimal conditions to ‘breathe’ and allow their aromas to develop fully. A secret ageing and refining process gives every Asbach its radiant topaz colour and characteristic bouquet.

The bottle label is modelled on the original recipe from 1892, which the founder, Hugo Asbach, wrote down himself. The lion in the seal, the Asbach family’s heraldic animal, symbolises the founder’s courage as well as the strength and quality of the product.

With Asbach Original 3 Years, the long-established Rüdesheim winery has now launched a new premium speciality onto the market. This brandy is characterised by a maturation period of at least three years in oak barrels, which lend it its complex aromas and characteristic golden colour.

Tasting Note

Colour: Topaz.

Nose: Harmonious woody notes.

Palate: Full-bodied, sweet notes, ripe grapes, fine oak.

Finish: Long-lasting.

Suitable as a digestif and can be enjoyed both neat and in cocktails.
