The art of bourbon-making began as early as 1812 on the grounds of the Woodford Reserve Distillery, a nationally recognised historic landmark. When you visit, you can sense its rich historical heritage. The history of bourbon is closely intertwined with the history of Kentucky and, by extension, that of the United States.

The water used to produce Woodford Reserve is sourced directly from the distillery. It undergoes natural filtration through the property’s limestone deposits. This iron-free, mineral-rich water is a crucial factor in the production process, contributing significantly to the bourbon’s quality and uniqueness.

The Baccarat Edition of Woodford Reserve is a premium blend of Kentucky bourbon and French craftsmanship. This bourbon is matured in selected XO cognac casks, which previously held cognac for three years and were carefully chosen by Master Distiller Chris Morris. The result is a delicate balance of American and French oak flavours, with complex fruity notes, a subtle spiciness and a creamy, sweet finish.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark amber.

Nose: Toasted oak, chocolate, coconut notes, creamy vanilla, hints of cloves, cinnamon, dried fruit, citrus peel.

Palate: Vanilla, dark chocolate, dried fruit, creamy caramel, notes of malt and oak.

Finish: Long-lasting, silky, with a spicy caramel and mocha note.
