The story of Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum begins over 270 years ago in a unique, mystical place known as Nassau Valley. This place is characterised by a rare karstic landscape with cone-shaped limestone formations, caves and underground water springs. The unique terrain acts as a natural filter for the rain, producing crystal clear water and giving the sugar cane plants in this valley region a unique flavour profile.

Appleton Estate is deeply rooted in Jamaican tradition, with the special spirit of the people not only characterising the rum, but above all defining the company's identity. For this reason, the Appleton Estate company emblem consists of a combination of five iconic Jamaican symbols that tell a story of passion, dedication and joie de vivre.

This rum is also known as Appleton Estate Rare Blend 12 Years Old and was renamed Appleton Estate Rare Casks 12 Years Old in 2021. This premium rum with a strong amber colour is produced in old copper stills and is a "hand-blended blend" of different rum varieties that are aged in oak casks for up to 18 years. An excellent and affordable introduction to the world of Jamaican premium rums.
