Proclamation Blended Irish Whiskey is a well-balanced Irish whiskey, blended from malt and grain whiskeys, which is deliberately crafted to be mild and non-smoky. Carefully selected ex-bourbon casks play a particularly important role in the maturation process, lending the blend its characteristic notes of vanilla, caramel and toffee. A small proportion of the whisky is also influenced by sherry casks, resulting in subtle fruity notes and added depth. With an alcohol content of 40.7 per cent, Proclamation is smooth and approachable, whilst retaining sufficient structure to deliver a full-bodied overall impression.


Another distinctive feature of Proclamation Irish Whiskey is that it contains no added caramel colouring, meaning its colour derives exclusively from cask maturation. The combination of different cask characteristics creates a harmonious interplay of sweet, fruity and slightly toasted notes. The name ‘Proclamation’ refers to Irish history and the 1916 Proclamation, deliberately linking the brand’s design to Ireland’s cultural heritage. Tasting Note

Colour: Golden amber with warm highlights.

Nose: Fragrant brioche, caramel custard and apricot jam, accompanied by roasted coffee, vanilla and subtle notes of dried fruit.

Palate: Full-bodied, smooth and creamy, with buttery pastries, bitter coffee and sweet nectarines, complemented by caramel, vanilla and subtle hints of sherry.

Finish: Long-lasting and balanced, with toasted notes, sweet fruit and a gentle vanilla finish.

Proclamation Blended Irish Whiskey is best enjoyed neat at around 18–20 °C, over a large ice cube or as the base for simple whisky drinks. Culinary pairings include buttery pastries, apricot desserts, roasted nuts, dark chocolate or mild hard cheese, which complement its sweet, fruity character.
