L’Aperitivo Nonino Botanical Drink is a refined and elegant aperitif, enhanced by a unique blend of 16 carefully selected botanicals and a fine grape brandy base. The Nonino distilleries, comprising five artisanal distilleries equipped with batch-style copper steam stills, are unique worldwide. Each of these distilleries represents a member of the family, whilst a special still is also dedicated to the grandchildren – a symbol of the Nonino family’s ongoing dedication and tradition in the art of distillation. This passion for quality and craftsmanship has made the distillery one of the best-known and most highly regarded in the world of fine spirits.

The story of L’Aperitivo Nonino began in 1928, when Silvia and Antonio Nonino experimented with various ingredients to create a unique aperitif. In 2018, the original recipe was further developed by their granddaughters, Cristina, Antonella and Elisabetta Nonino, resulting in the L’Aperitivo we know today. This drink is produced with the utmost care, with all the botanicals – including herbs, flowers, fruits, berries and roots – being dried at low temperatures to preserve their natural intensity of aroma, flavour and colour. The addition of grape brandy highlights the fruity notes and ensures a smooth, balanced harmony of flavours. L’Aperitivo Nonino is 100% plant-based and free from artificial additives, making it a particularly authentic and natural choice for aperitifs and cocktails.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light, radiant sun-kissed gold.

Nose: Fresh, floral aromas of chamomile and orange, combined with a delicate herbal note and a hint of sweet fruit.

Palate: Smooth and well-balanced, with a harmonious blend of fruity citrus notes, slightly bitter herbs and a floral sweetness. The grape brandy lends the drink a fruity, slightly spicy depth.

Finish: Refreshing and long-lasting, with a subtle herbal and citrus note that lingers gently.

L’Aperitivo Nonino Botanical Drink is ideal as an aperitif, served neat or on the rocks to fully appreciate the flavours. It also works wonderfully in cocktails such as a Negroni, Aperol Spritz or a gin and tonic, adding an extra layer of flavour. This aperitif pairs beautifully with light snacks such as grilled vegetables, fresh olives or Italian antipasto. It also harmonises well with smoked salmon or goat’s cheese, bringing out the fruity and floral flavours.
