The Wiener Hofburg Rosé Trocken is an elegant sparkling wine that combines the Austrian tradition of sparkling wine with a tribute to one of the country’s most significant buildings – the Hofburg in Vienna. This historic building was constructed in the 13th century and served as the residence of the Habsburg monarchy until 1918. Since 1946, it has served as the official residence of the Austrian Federal President and, in addition to a magnificent ballroom, houses museums as well as parts of the Austrian National Library.

This exclusive sparkling wine is produced entirely in Austria using the high-quality Méthode Traditionnelle, in which the second fermentation takes place in the bottle. This labour-intensive process gives the Wiener Hofburg Rosé its delicate, long-lasting effervescence and complex bouquet. Its dry style ensures a perfect balance between freshness, fruitiness and elegance – ideal for festive occasions or as a stylish aperitif.

Tasting Note

The Wiener Hofburg Rosé Trocken presents itself in the glass as a luminous salmon pink with fine, persistent bubbles. The bouquet reveals seductive aromas of fresh raspberries, strawberries and juicy cherries, accompanied by floral notes and a delicate citrus freshness. On the palate, it is elegant and lively, with a harmonious acidity and a hint of brioche resulting from traditional bottle fermentation. The finish is long and pleasant, characterised by red berries and a subtle mineral note.

This elegant rosé sparkling wine is ideal as an aperitif or for special occasions. It pairs perfectly with seafood, sushi, light summer salads and Mediterranean starters. It is also an excellent choice with grilled fish, poultry or mild cheeses. Its freshness and fine effervescence also pair wonderfully with fruity desserts such as strawberry tarts or lemon sorbet.
