This Japanese liqueur is made from carefully selected Nanko-Ume plums, renowned for their high quality and intense aroma. The plums are steeped in alcohol for an extended period, allowing their fruity sweetness and subtle acidity to come through perfectly.

The addition of shiso (perilla), an aromatic herb from the mint family, gives the umeshu a distinctive flavour and a slightly tart note that harmonises beautifully with the fruit’s sweetness. On the palate, it is fruity and sweet with a refreshing acidity, complemented by subtle notes of shiso reminiscent of mint and aniseed.
