This rum, rich in character and whose uniqueness is shaped by Nicaragua’s climate, comes from the renowned Compania Licorera de Nicaragua. Although the company has been based in the capital, Managua, since 1890, production takes place at the distillery near Chichigalpa, strategically located close to a sugar factory, some 120 kilometres from Managua.

Zapatera Rum owes its name to the idyllic island of Zapatera in Lake Cocibolca, which gives it a special connection to Nicaraguan nature and culture.

To perfect its range of flavours, Zapatera Rum is aged in carefully selected 200-litre oak casks, which lend depth and complexity to its flavour profile.

With its deep roots in Nicaragua’s rich culture and unique climatic conditions, Zapatera Rum offers an authentic taste experience that rum connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike will appreciate.
