Inspired by the Douglas Laing family’s playful and mischievous fox terriers, this whisky not only bears the name ‘Scallywag’ (little rascal), but also embodies its cheeky, lively yet sweet nature.

This Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is a harmonious blend of Speyside single malts, carefully matured in Spanish Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This special selection of casks delivers an intensely fruity and spicy profile with deep chocolate and dried fruit flavours, perfectly suited to the colder months.

With a natural cask strength of 54% vol., the Winter Edition 2022 offers a powerful, warming intensity that nevertheless remains smooth and well-balanced. It is bottled without colouring or chill filtration to present the whisky in its purest form. Only 5,400 bottles exist worldwide, making this edition a highly sought-after rarity for whisky lovers.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep mahogany with reddish highlights.

Nose: Rich dark fruits, raisins, cinnamon, nuts and dark chocolate, interwoven with sweet vanilla and a subtle hint of oak.

Palate: Full-bodied and robust, with notes of sherry-like sweetness, caramelised almonds, dried plums, orange zest and spices such as nutmeg and cloves.

Finish: Long-lasting, warm and spicy, with hints of dark chocolate, festive spices and a subtle oakiness.

The Scallywag Winter Edition 2022 reveals its full flavour best when enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to further unlock its deep sherry and fruit notes.
