Olmeca Tequila Gold is a traditional tequila from Mexico, produced in Los Altos de Jalisco, one of the country’s most important tequila-producing regions. It is made from the blue Weber agave, characteristic of tequila, the processing of which shapes the spirit’s distinctive character. The name Olmeca refers to the pre-Columbian Olmec civilisation, whose historical symbolism is also reflected in the striking bottle design. At 35 per cent ABV in the 0.7-litre bottle, Olmeca Gold is a versatile tequila, designed particularly for classic drinks, shots and straightforward tequila cocktails.


The term ‘Gold’ does not refer to a specific degree of purity, but rather to the golden colour of this bottling. Olmeca Gold combines the typical character of roasted agave with sweet and spicy notes, thereby setting itself apart from the clear Blanco style. Produced in Jalisco, it combines traditional Mexican agave processing with modern production methods, making Olmeca Gold Tequila one of the brand’s internationally renowned expressions. Its approachable character and versatility have established it particularly well in bars and in the preparation of tequila long drinks and cocktails.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber with golden highlights.

Nose: Fruity and sweet with notes of toasted agave, accompanied by subtle vanilla, spicy accents and delicate woody notes.

Palate: Smooth and spicy with sweet agave, honey and warm spices, complemented by black pepper and slightly smoky nuances.

Finish: Long-lasting and pleasant with a spicy sweetness and subtle woody notes.

Olmeca Tequila Gold is ideal both as a classic shot and as a versatile base for tequila cocktails and long drinks. It works particularly well in a Margarita, Tequila Sunrise or Paloma, but also in simple combinations with citrus-flavoured soft drinks. Culinary pairings include tacos, nachos with guacamole, grilled meat or spicy Mexican finger food, which complement its sweet and spicy profile.
