Black Bottle ANDEAN OAK Blended Scotch Whisky 46.3% vol. 0.7l online kaufen

Black Bottle Andean Oak Blended Scotch Whisky is an exceptional limited edition from the Black Bottle Experimental Series, which is characterised by innovative maturation methods. This whisky stands out in particular for its finish in rare Andean oak casks, a type of wood that has scarcely been used in the world of whisky until now. With an alcohol content of 46.3% vol., this bottling offers a fascinating blend of classic Black Bottle character and new, unique flavours derived from the special cask maturation.

Crafted from a careful selection of blended Scotch whiskies, this blend benefits from an initial maturation in traditional oak casks before receiving its finish in high-altitude Andean oak casks. This rare choice of casks lends the whisky a distinctive depth and complexity, ranging from spicy, slightly resinous notes to sweet vanilla and fruity accents.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden amber with warm highlights.

Nose: Vanilla, caramel, exotic spices, subtle woody notes and a hint of smokiness.

Palate: Smooth and full-bodied, with flavours of toasted oak, honey, dark chocolate, dried fruit and a spicy sweetness.

Finish: Long and smooth, with hints of nutmeg, toffee and a subtle smokiness.

The Black Bottle Andean Oak is ideal for enjoying neat or with a few drops of water to allow its complex flavours to unfold even further. Thanks to its spicy and sweet, woody notes, it pairs perfectly with dark chocolate, roasted nuts or spicy hard cheese. It also elegantly showcases its distinctive cask character in cocktails such as a Smoky Old Fashioned or a Whisky Sour with honey and cinnamon.
