Gerardo Madrigal, founder of Aman Tequila, discovered his passion for the picturesque region of Nayarit in Jalisco, Mexico, at a young age whilst on a trip with his parents from their home town of Los Angeles. Fascinated by the lush landscape, characterised by millions of blue agaves, volcanoes, waterfalls and the unspoilt nature of Jalisco, this vision never left him.

After completing his studies with a Master of Science degree and a career as a mathematics lecturer, he realised his dream and founded the AMAN distillery. The name AMAN stands for reliability, trustworthiness and safety – qualities that are also reflected in the products.

AMAN Añejo Tequila is made from carefully selected, particularly ripe agaves. These agaves undergo a minimum ageing period of 14 months in French and American oak casks, which gives the tequila its unique depth and complexity of flavour.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear.

Nose: Light, sweet, with notes of agave and black pepper.

Palate: Fresh, herbal, woody, with notes of pineapple, vanilla and black pepper.

Finish: Long-lasting.
