The Macallan Distillers is one of the world’s most renowned whisky distilleries, known for its exceptional single malt whiskies since its foundation in 1824. Macallan was inspired by Jordi Roca i Fontané, a pâtissier from Spain who has become world-renowned for his desserts. Together with his two brothers, he runs a restaurant in Girona, Spain. In 2014, Jordi Roca was named ‘World’s Best Pastry Chef’.

The Macallan Intense Arabica is inspired by the Ethiopian Arabica bean and forms part of “The Harmony Collection”. The Arabica bean was the first variety of coffee to be cultivated in Ethiopia. The rich, intense flavours of The Macallan Intense Arabica invite you on a sensory journey through taste and aroma. This whisky was matured in spiced sherry oak casks.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light amber.

Nose: Rich notes of almonds, vanilla, raisins, tiramisu, cappuccino, gingerbread and sweet oak.

Palate: Notes of raisins, dark chocolate, vanilla, tiramisu and blackberries.

Finish: Long-lasting, balanced, slightly sweet, roasted coffee.
