Volcan de Mi Tierra X.A. Tequila is a premium 100 per cent agave tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, which combines different ageing styles to create a complex blend. The designation X.A. stands for ‘Extra Assemblage’ and refers to the unique concept behind this bottling. For the X.A., Reposado, Añejo and Extra Añejo tequilas are blended together, combining the freshness and expressiveness of the agave with the characteristics of barrel ageing periods of varying lengths. The raw material is 100% blue Weber agave, with Volcan de Mi Tierra using agaves from various growing regions in Jalisco to introduce different characteristics into the production process. With an alcohol content of 40 per cent, the X.A. is a sophisticated tequila in which the character of the agave and the barrel ageing are deliberately balanced.

Behind Volcan de Mi Tierra Tequila lies a tequila project that combines Mexican production traditions with a modern, premium approach. The brand name refers to the Tequila volcano, whose eruption some 200,000 years ago had a lasting impact on the region’s soils. With the Volcan X.A. Extra Assemblage, the focus is particularly on the blending of the three aged tequila categories: Reposado brings freshness and vibrancy, whilst Añejo and Extra Añejo contribute additional maturity, depth and oak character. This premium tequila, made from 100 per cent Blue Weber agave, is therefore aimed particularly at connoisseurs who prefer to savour aged tequila neat. Finish: Long-lasting and balanced, with agave, vanilla and an elegant, lingering hint of oak.
