The Elements of Islay Cask Edit “I Love Papa” Islay Blended Malt is a special bottling from the renowned Elements of Islay range, which is synonymous with high-quality, hand-selected Islay whiskies. This edition was specially developed as a tribute to whisky lovers and skilfully combines the powerful, smoky character of the island of Islay with harmonious cask maturation.

This Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is a carefully crafted blend of various Islay whiskies that have been matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. This results in a balanced flavour profile with classic peaty and smoky notes, complemented by sweet, fruity and spicy elements. With an alcohol content of 46% vol., non-chill-filtered and free from colouring agents, this whisky remains authentic and natural.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden amber.

Nose: Smoky peat notes with aromas of vanilla, honey, dried fruit and a subtle spiciness.

Palate: Full-bodied and complex, with a harmonious balance of sweet caramel, toasted nuts, spicy oak and earthy peatiness.

Finish: Long-lasting, smoky and slightly fruity with a pleasant blend of sherry sweetness and maritime spice.

The Elements of Islay Cask Edit “I Love Papa” is ideal for enjoying neat, to experience its multi-layered flavours. It pairs superbly with smoked cheese, dark chocolate or grilled meat to highlight its intense peaty and sweet notes. Alternatively, it makes an excellent base for a Smoky Old Fashioned or a Peated Manhattan, stylishly highlighting its deep, smoky flavours.
