Matured in a harmonious blend of American ex-bourbon and European sherry oak casks, the Macallan Classic Cut Limited Edition unfolds distinctive aromas that combine to create a remarkable tasting experience. At a cask strength of 50.3%, the whisky reveals its full intensity, whilst the addition of water gently softens the aromas and opens up a new dimension of flavour. As soon as the strength is reduced to 40 per cent, sweet, nutty notes emerge, perfectly rounding off the essence.

Tasting Note

Colour: Gold.

Nose: Elegant and fruity, with notes of ripe pears and elderflower, light hints of almond and vanilla pods.

Palate: Sweet, creamy texture, juicy pears, lemon zest, oak.

Finish: Medium-length, almond biscotti, sweet oak.
