The Mossburn Signature Casks range reflects the characteristic profiles of Scotch malts. All whiskies in this range are initially matured in American oak casks and then stored for a second period in bespoke, copper-lined Mossburn casks. The Mossburn casks are produced to the distillery’s own specifications. A distinction is made between Cask Bill #1 for malts from the Isle of Islay and Cask Bill #2 for those from the Speyside region. All bottlings in the Signature Cask range are bottled without chill filtration and without the addition of colouring.

Mossburn Foursquare 12 Years Old is a whisky that is first matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in casks that previously contained Foursquare rum from Barbados. This finishing in rum casks imparts distinctive aromas and added depth of flavour to the whisky.

This is a limited edition, sourced from a batch of just 38 casks.

Tasting Note

Colour: Rich yellow gold.

Nose: Jam, Christmas cake, nutmeg, hints of peppermint.

Palate: Bitter orange peel, gingerbread, sweet spices, toffee apples.

Finish: Long-lasting.
