Wolfburn is the northernmost distillery on the Scottish mainland. Originally founded in 1821, all Wolfburn single malt whiskies are produced in the traditional way: unhurriedly, by hand and with a strong emphasis on quality. The results are outstanding, and Wolfburn’s specialities regularly win awards at international spirits competitions.

Wolfburn’s smooth and easy-drinking character stems from its production method. A long fermentation, followed by a slow and gentle distillation, results in a pure and smooth spirit. Maturation takes place in purpose-built warehouses situated just a few metres from the sea.

These Manzanilla casks, made from the finest Spanish oak, are used to finish this whisky at the end of its maturation. The resulting whisky is a delight, as it is fruity, sweet, full-bodied and lush. It is a whisky that every connoisseur should definitely try.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Sweet aromas, cashew nut butter, golden syrup.

Palate: Manzanilla notes, plums, dates, toffee, honey.

Finish: Long-lasting.
