The family-run Cordero di Montezemolo estate is situated in the picturesque Langhe region of Piedmont in northern Italy. The family cultivates a total of 38 hectares of certified organic vineyards, from which 11 high-quality DOC wines are produced. A hallmark of the estate is its winemaking process, which relies exclusively on minimal oak ageing to preserve the purity and character of the grapes.

Cordero di Montezemolo MONFALLETTO Barolo is made from 100 per cent Nebbiolo grapes. These fine grapes are aged for 24 months in barriques before the wine is bottled and sealed with a natural cork. This Barolo has an impressive ageing potential of around 20 years, making it a prized wine for connoisseurs.

This wine embodies the traditional, sustainable and meticulous winemaking that characterises the Cordero di Montezemolo estate.

Tasting Note

A deep ruby-garnet colour in the glass. On the nose, notes of wild raspberries, sour cherries, roasted cocoa beans, dark tobacco and rosemary. On the palate, it is firm and fruity, with notes of ripe wild cherries, herbal hints and robust tannins. Juicy, hearty and elegant on the finish.

Residual sugar: 1.2 g/l.

Acidity: 5.9 g/l

Serving temperature: 15–18 °C

Pairs superbly with dark and hearty dishes.
