The Leonardo da Vinci Chianti is a classic, elegant red wine from the world-famous Chianti wine region in Tuscany, produced by the long-established Italian winery Leonardo da Vinci. This renowned winery is synonymous with authentic, high-quality wines that perfectly embody Tuscany’s cultural and vinicultural heritage.

This Chianti is made primarily from the traditional Sangiovese grape variety, complemented by smaller proportions of indigenous varieties, which lend it additional complexity and depth. The grapes come from selected Lager with optimal sunshine and limestone-rich soils, which give the wine its characteristic freshness and fruit-driven elegance. Following careful hand-harvesting, the grapes undergo gentle vinification and traditional ageing in stainless-steel tanks and large wooden barrels.

With its moderate alcohol content of 13% vol., the Leonardo da Vinci Chianti is a versatile, harmonious red wine that impressively combines the Tuscan zest for life with Italian indulgence.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Leonardo da Vinci Chianti displays a brilliant ruby red colour with subtle violet highlights. On the nose, typical, fresh aromas of red cherries, wild berries and plums unfold, accompanied by delicate hints of Mediterranean herbs, violets and an elegant spiciness. On the palate, the wine impresses with its pleasant fruitiness, balanced acidity and velvety, finely integrated tannins. The finish is harmonious, medium-length and slightly spicy, with a fruity aftertaste.

The Leonardo da Vinci Chianti is the perfect accompaniment to classic Italian cuisine such as pasta with tomato sauce, pizza, antipasti and risotto.
