The Demerara Distillery, situated on the tropical north coast of South America in Guyana, has been processing sugar cane since 1670 and has built up an outstanding reputation over the centuries. The El Dorado brand, known worldwide as a premium brand for high-quality rum, is characterised by its artfully crafted blended rums.

These are produced not only from different vintages and batches, but also through the use of various distillation methods, including the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills and the Port Mourant double wooden pot stills. The rum is aged for 12 years in selected oak casks, giving it its distinctive depth and complexity, which make it particularly sought-after by connoisseurs.
