The Macallan M Decanter Black pays homage to the distillery’s creativity and craftsmanship, with the balance between classic Macallan and an unexpected peaty flavour making this whisky truly special. The striking decanter, shaped like a black crystal and designed in collaboration with Fabien Baron and Lalique, emphasises this uniqueness.

As Lalique is a leader in the French crystal glass industry and Fabien Baron is renowned as Creative Director of Baron & Baron, the bottle reflects the very finest craftsmanship. The whisky is a carefully selected blend of matured single malt whiskies, curated by the Master Whisky Maker to create a harmonious and complex flavour profile.

The exact composition varies depending on the release, as each batch is unique. The Macallan uses only the finest sherry-seasoned oak casks for maturation, giving the whisky deep and robust flavours.

Tasting Note

Colour: Gold.

Nose: Fruity notes of fresh apples and citrus fruits, sweet dates, a hint of peat.

Palate: Candied oranges, charred peaches, a sweetness reminiscent of fig honey, dark chocolate, warming peat, spicy ginger.

Finish: Long-lasting, peaty smoke, sweet raisins.
