The GlenAllachie 12 Years Old Ruby Port Pipe 2011 55.9% ABV 0.7 l + GB is a limited-edition single-cask bottling from the renowned Speyside distillery GlenAllachie, which, under the leadership of Master Distiller Billy Walker, is known for its innovative cask maturations and intense single malts. Distilled on 15 August 2011 and bottled in June 2024, this whisky was allowed to mature for a full 12 years in a selected Ruby Port pipe. This long maturation gives it its powerful and fruit-forward aroma profile, which sets it apart from classic sherry and bourbon cask maturations.


At a robust 55.9% ABV, it is bottled at natural cask strength, naturally without chill filtration or colouring, to preserve the authentic character of the cask. This strictly limited edition comprises just 765 bottles, making it a highly sought-after rarity for collectors and connoisseurs. The 0.7-litre bottle is presented in an elegant gift box and impressively embodies GlenAllachie’s craftsmanship and cask management.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep ruby red with mahogany-coloured highlights.

Nose: Intensely fruity, with notes of cherries, raspberries, dark chocolate, honey and oaky spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and complex, with a balance of red berries, sweet malt, caramel, spices and subtle oak.

Finish: Long-lasting, robust and fruity-spicy, with lingering port notes and elegant warmth.

The GlenAllachie 12 Years Old Ruby Port Pipe reveals its character best when enjoyed neat in a nosing glass, perhaps with a drop of water to bring out the complex fruity notes even more. It pairs superbly with desserts such as chocolate fondant, fruit cake or crème brûlée. It also pairs well with strong cheeses such as Stilton or Manchego.
