The name and packaging – a black bottle with a yellow label – are intended to pay tribute to a species of snake endemic to Jamaica. The rum is a blend of up to 20 different distillates from various distilleries across Jamaica. These distillates are aged for between three and eight years, during which time they are stored in ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak.

This rum has been produced in small batches with a relatively low alcohol content, which underlines its exclusivity and craftsmanship. The emphasis is on a balanced appreciation of its quality and uniqueness.
