With the Madeira Cask Finish, Woodford Reserve embraces a maturation method rarely found in the world of American whisky. Following initial ageing in freshly charred American white oak casks, the bourbon is transferred to selected Madeira wine casks to receive its finish. This secondary ageing lends the whisky additional depth, fruity complexity and an elegant sweetness – characteristic of the influence of the fortified wine from the Portuguese island of Madeira.

With an alcohol content of 45.2% ABV, this bourbon is powerful yet pleasantly approachable.
