Tasting Note

Colour: Warm amber with coppery-golden highlights.

Nose: Ripe plums, juicy oranges, fruity wild berries and creamy caramel, accompanied by subtle peat smoke and a fresh sea breeze.

Palate: Full-bodied and smooth, with sweet toffee, dark fruits, spicy oak and a pleasant maritime saltiness, complemented by aromatic peaty smoke.

Finish: Long-lasting and warming, with characteristic peppery spice, gentle peaty smoke, subtle sherry notes and a delicate salty hint.

The Talisker 18 Years Old reveals its multi-layered character particularly well when enjoyed neat at room temperature, ideally in a tulip-shaped nosing glass. A few drops of still water can further enhance the balance between maritime peat smoke, fruity sweetness and spicy oak. As a culinary accompaniment, smoked salmon, grilled scallops or mature Cheddar harmonise beautifully with the characteristic coastal and smoky notes. Dark chocolate, roasted walnuts or desserts with caramelised fruit also complement the complex aromas of this 18-year-old Talisker single malt whisky.
