The Whistler P.X. I Love You is a characterful single malt Irish whisky that owes its elegant sweetness and depth to intensive maturation in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Produced by the independent Boann Distillery in County Meath, north-west of Dublin, this bottling epitomises the modern renaissance of Irish whisky – crafted by hand, with attention to detail and a focus on cask quality.

This single malt is first matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in selected PX sherry casks from Spain. Through this double cask maturation, the whisky develops a multi-layered spectrum of aromas with notes of dark dried fruit, sweet oak, spices and delicate malt. With an alcohol content of 46 % vol., and with no chill filtration or colouring, The Whistler P.X. I Love You retains its full natural character.

Tasting Note

Colour: Copper with a reddish sheen.

Nose: Sweet raisins, dried plums, honey, vanilla, toffee and a hint of oak.

Palate: Full-bodied with notes of dates, chocolate, cinnamon, sherry sweetness and a hint of nuttiness.

Finish: Medium to long, smooth and fruity-spicy with a malty aftertaste.

Ideal on its own or with a few drops of water to allow the sherry aromas to fully unfold. Excellent with desserts featuring dark chocolate or caramelised nuts, or with variations on Irish coffee. Also perfectly suited as an accompaniment to cheese platters or as an elegant finale to a meal. An Irish single malt with character, structure and a charming cask profile.
