The Kilchoman 100% Islay 11 Years Old Sherry Cask Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky epitomises the Kilchoman Distillery’s uncompromising farm-distillery approach. This bottling sees every stage of production carried out entirely on the island of Islay, thereby bearing the ‘100% Islay’ designation in its purest form. This Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled from the distillery’s own barley harvests from 2011, 2012 and 2013, before maturing for at least 11 years in carefully selected ex-Oloroso sherry butts. A total of 16 first-fill Oloroso sherry casks were used, which had previously been used by José y Miguel Martin in Jerez, Spain, and which lend the whisky a distinctive depth.


The Kilchoman 100% Islay Sherry Cask 11 Years Old was bottled at a robust 50% ABV, naturally without chill filtration and without added colouring. Compared to earlier 100% Islay editions, which were predominantly matured in ex-bourbon casks, this sherry cask-matured bottling exhibits a significantly darker and more structured profile. The long maturation in Oloroso sherry casks emphasises the distinctive character of the Kilchoman style and complements the typical Islay peat with depth, spice and substance. This limited-edition bottling is presented in a high-quality gift box, further emphasising its status as a sought-after collector’s item and a pleasure to enjoy.
