Planteray 3 STARS Rum 41.2% ABV 0.7 l is a classic white rum and a tribute to the historic rum styles of the Caribbean. This carefully crafted rum blend brings together three distinctive terroirs – Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad – and combines their characteristic traits to create a balanced overall profile. Whilst Barbados provides richness and balance, Trinidad brings elegance and lightness, and Jamaica contributes structure and aromatic intensity. Planteray Rum is made from molasses and is blended from distillates produced by renowned distilleries such as the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados, the Long Pond Distillery in Jamaica and Trinidad Distillers Ltd.


Different fermentation and distillation methods shape the character of this versatile Caribbean rum: in Barbados and Trinidad, the fermentation period lasts around 72 hours, whilst in Jamaica it takes up to two weeks, thus providing additional aromatic depth. Distillation takes place using a combination of twin-column stills and pot stills in Barbados, pot stills (John Dore) in Jamaica, and column stills in Trinidad. With a volatile matter content of around 285 g/hL AA and a moderate dosage of approximately 8 g/L, the result is a harmonious and versatile white rum that is particularly well-suited to cocktails.
