Turntable Track 7 – Born to Be Wild is an exceptional limited edition from the creative Scottish brand Turntable Spirits, which sets new standards in modern blending with every release. Inspired by Steppenwolf’s legendary song “Born to Be Wild” (1968), this whisky combines a passion for music with artisanal precision. This bottling is part of Turntable’s 13th edition and joins the ranks of the acclaimed core blends Unplugged, Bittersweet Symphony, Smokin' Riff and Paradise Funk – all of which embody a new, innovative era of whisky.


This Blended Scotch Whisky combines single malts and grain whiskies from some of Scotland’s most exciting distilleries. The blend comprises 37 per cent peated Ardnamurchan single malt, matured in a sherry butt, 16 per cent Lochlea, 15 per cent Nc’Nean, 18 per cent peated Raasay, matured in Chinkapin oak casks, and 14 per cent grain whisky from the now-closed Port Dundas Distillery, aged in a refill bourbon cask. Each component contributes to this whisky’s characteristic depth: maritime, smoky notes meet fruity sweetness, spicy warmth and a creamy texture.


Bottled at a robust 53% ABV, non-chill-filtered and presented in its natural colour, this blend boasts a complex, modern profile that combines traditional craftsmanship with creative energy.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm amber with golden highlights.

Nose: Smoky and sweet with notes of sea salt, teriyaki, bacon, caramel and sherry spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and well-balanced with flavours of peated smoke, spices, cream, peach and malt biscuits.

Finish: Long-lasting, smooth and warming with sweet smoke, oaky spice and delicate fruit.
