Havana Club ICONICA Selección de Maestros is an exclusive Cuban rum and forms part of the prestigious Havana Club Icónica Collection, which brings together the brand’s particularly high-quality and meticulously crafted expressions. Its creation is the result of collaboration between the experienced Maestros del Ron Cubano, who gather every year in Havana Club’s ageing cellars to assess selected casks individually. Only particularly suitable matured rums are selected for the Selección de Maestros and subsequently blended into a complex composition. Following selection and blending, the rum is given additional time in specially selected casks, allowing its cask character, structure and aromatic depth to develop further. This bottling is thus a prime example of the traditional Cuban craft of rum-making and the collective expertise of the Maestros.

With an alcohol content of 45 per cent and a 0.7-litre bottle, Havana Club Selección de Maestros is more robust than many of the brand’s classic bottlings. The Icónica Collection represents Havana Club’s ultra-premium segment and focuses on artisanal cask selection, long-term ageing and the use of high-quality matured rum reserves. Finish: Long-lasting and balanced, with smoky oak, spices and candied fruit.

Havana Club ICONICA Selección de Maestros is best enjoyed neat at around 18 to 20 °C, allowing the complex oak and spice notes to unfold fully. Dark chocolate, roasted pecans or walnuts, and desserts featuring cocoa or coffee pair particularly well with its robust profile.
