Mars The Y.A. The abbreviation Y.A. stands for ‘Young & Alive’ and aptly describes the vibrant character of this range, which emphasises dynamism, freshness and expressiveness. This bottling is produced by the long-established Hombo Shuzo Co., one of the few Japanese producers with several whisky distilleries and decades of experience in whisky production.

For Mars The Y.A. Slightly Peated #04, selected single malts from various Mars distilleries are blended together. A defining characteristic is the deliberately subtle influence of peat, which lends the whisky additional depth without overshadowing the clear, elegant style of Japanese whiskies. Maturation takes place predominantly in ex-bourbon casks, complemented by other carefully selected oak casks to achieve balance, structure and complexity. Bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill-filtered and with its natural colour, this edition is intense, authentic and clearly defined.
