Planteray Barbados X.O. is a harmonious blend of various Barbados rums, each aged for at least 13 years. The individual distillates are first aged in ex-bourbon casks in the Caribbean, where they develop their pleasant sweetness and smooth texture. The blending then takes place at Cognac Ferrand in France, before the rum undergoes a second maturation phase in small, old French oak cognac casks. This double maturation ensures exceptional depth, creamy smoothness and elegant cask notes. With an alcohol content of 40 per cent, this XO rum is harmonious, full-bodied and impressively smooth.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep mahogany with golden amber highlights.

Nose: An intense aroma of creamy caramel toffee, subtle roasted notes and fruity hints of ripe banana and candied orange.

Palate: Exceptionally smooth and well-balanced, with exotic sugar-cane sweetness, toasted coconut, cocoa, toast, vanilla and fruity hints of ripe tropical fruits.
